Domestic proletarians are entrusted with responsibilities for the most precious particular aspects of people’s lives — they’re the nannies, the elder-care workers and the house cleans who do the project that makes all other piece possible. Too often, they’re invisible, taken for granted or dismissed as “help, ” yet they continue to do their wholehearted good for the families and dwellings in their commission.
